Connecting Faith 12-5-18 | National Day of Mourning | Ratio Christi’s Eric Chabot on Holiday Conversations with College Students
Today is a National Day of Mourning for our 41st President of the United States, George H. W. Bush. There will be Scriptures read and hymns sung during the State Funeral that provide opportunities for us to enter into conversations as a witness to the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. The National Cathedral, whose final finial was placed under George H.W. Bush, is also an opportunity to discuss sacred spaces and why they are part of our nation and its history.
College and University students are coming home for the holidays! It’s a great time to check in with them on where they are connecting and what kinds of challenges they have received towards their faith. Listen as Eric Chabot of Ratio Christi shares about the kinds of thinking our students will likely have been exposed to and what the most common currents are that are likely to pull students away from their faith.
