Connecting Faith 3-12-18 | Civility vs. Surrender | Jason Romano on Living to Forgive

Carmen discusses an article by David French about how civility and surrender are two different things. As ambassadors of another King and Kingdom to the kingdoms of this world, we are called to represent the gospel across cultural divides and hostilities. So how do we remain civil but not silent?

Jason Romano, former ESPN producer and author of Living to Forgive: Moving Forward When Those we Love Hurt Us, walked us through his journey to forgiving his alcoholic father. Wounds from those we love are likely deep and persistent, but Jason shares steps that help us get to a place where we can extend the forgiveness we have in Christ, ultimately releasing ourselves from bitterness and enabling us to move on in grace and truth.
