Today is International Women’s Day, but in much of the world, having two x chromosomes results in abortion or infanticide. There is also the reality of sexual assault being used as a weapon of persecution against our sisters in Christ. We can use this day to advocate for those who are genuinely voiceless through our social media platforms, conversations, mission dollars and prayers.
Our interview today is with Chelsea Sobolik, author of Longing for Motherhood. The intimate nature of barrenness can make it difficult to know who is suffering, or to have conversations with those who we know are. But all of us know the reality of unmet desires in this life, and this is a place for the church to walk compassionately alongside women struggling with the pain of infertility or childlessness in any form.
