How Great is our God | Kim Meeder on Revival Rising | Aaron Burr, Hamilton, Dueling and Trump’s Tax returns
Carmen opens with a question about whether or not “How Great is our God” is a question or a declaration. Reading the lyrics of the Chris Tomlin song:
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty Let all the Earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light And darkness tries to hide And trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me How great is our God, and all will see How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands And time is in His hands Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One Father Spirit Son The Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names Worthy of our praise My heart will sing How great is our God
You’re the name above all names You are worthy of our praise And my heart will sing How great is our God
Carmen then said, “Yes, there is LOTS of bad, depressing news today. We have come to expect as much. But I do not want us to lose sight of the reality of the greatness and goodness of our God.
So, do you hear “How Great is our God” as a question or do you declare to a skeptical world the greatness of our God?
Psalm 147:5 declares: How great is our Lord! His power is absolute, His understanding is beyond comprehension!
Carmen’s guests this episode are Kim Meeder with her book, Revival Rising and Adam Carrington on SCOTUS rulings, the 1804 duel between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton and the history of dueling in America.
