Impeachment? | President Trump’s U.N. speech | Why refugee resettlement matters | 50 shades of truth
Carmen opens with a brief commentary on the news of formal impeachment proceedings but as the live show was at 6 am, neither the transcript of President Trump’s July phone call with the President of Ukraine nor the their press conference held today were available for comment. Carmen intends to address impeachment tomorrow with Ben Johnson at the top of the first hour.
Today, Carmen talked with Providence Magazine’s managing editor, Drew Griffin about President Trump’s speech to the U.N. earlier this week on the topic of religious liberty. They also discuss why a robust refugee resettlement program matters to religious freedom around the world.
Then Carmen talks with Peter Kapsner about cultural headlines including “My girl became the youngest trans child,” (at the age of 3) and a story about a man you’ve likely never heard of who is credited with saving the world in 1983.
