Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on why the Equal Rights Amendment isn’t | Decriminalizing polygamy | Michael McAfee on the Bible
Carmen talks with Ben Johnson from the Acton Institute about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s comments on Monday at Georgetown Law school on the status of the Equal Rights Amendment. First proposed in 1972, Virginia technically became the required 38th state to ratify the Constitutional amendment, albeit many years too late to count. Right? Ben and Carmen also discuss the decriminalization of polygamy in Utah and the reality that the institution of marriage in America has been radically severed from its Biblical and social meanings.
In the second half, Carmen welcomes Michael McAfee to the show. Michael is the author of Not What you Think and director of The Museum of the Bible’s efforts at community engagement. As part of the Green family (Michael is married to Lauren Green whose family started Hobby Lobby) Michael shared about the family and the next generation, their daughter, Zion. Michael also shares about Inspire Experiences through which families and church groups can experience the Museum of the Bible and other points in D.C. of particular interest to Christians.
