After years of swimming in postmodern relativism, truth is back in style. The New York Times released a new ad during Sunday night’s Oscars called “The truth is hard.” The culture keeps handing us opportunities to talk about what IS truth and why does it matter anymore.

The vandalism of over 100 Jewish graves in Philadelphia follows a similar episode in St. Louis less than a week ago. Anti-Semitic acts are on the rise in the United States. The President responded last week, with a statement calling “for the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil.” In this statement, he acknowledged evidence of the root problem at the heart of America. Last week, we discussed the importance of bearing witness to the distinctly Christian perspective. Evil is a spiritual reality and there’s only one agent strong enough to deal with evil in both its supernatural and temporal expressions. Listen.
