Reconnect One: The Pace of GraceOctober 11, 2018
Do you make lists? I do. I have a list for the day, the week, the month, the year, and lists in my mind related to the future. Many things on my list do not get done. I migrate some things from one day to the next or one year to the next but the truth is, if the things on my list don’t line up with God’s list, they’re never going to happen, and I’m good with that. I’m trying to live at the pace of grace.
The pace of grace is slower than most of us want to go. We fancy ourselves to be efficiency experts and time managers, but think about that. Time managers? Really? God alone manages time and He literally has all the time in the world to accomplish His will.
Titus 2 reminds us that grace is training us to live godly lives as we wait for the return of Christ, So if the pace of grace feels slow, it may be because training in godliness takes time.
