Summer solstice | International Widows’ Day | Are we ready for reparations

If all the widows in all the world were gathered together they would make up the fourth largest country on earth. 250 million widows – with an average of three children each – means we’re talking about a billion people – 1/7th of the world’s people.  Danny Yohannan, Vice President of Gospels for Asia joined Carmen for a conversation about the plight of widows around the world and International Widows’ Sunday.

Into the conversation we offer: Psalm 68:5, Deuteronomy 27:19, James 1:27, Luke 7, Luke 20:46-47, Mark 12 and I Timothy 5.

Then, Carmen has a candid conversation with Justin Giboney about reparations, the history of slavery and how white and black Christians need to talk about the most uncomfortable of things.
