The Dow Topped 30,000 for the First Time Yesterday
It’s an attention-grabbing psychological threshold, and it’s an encouraging signal that the market’s rally is broadening. Many investors say the Dow and stocks generally can keep climbing in 2021, mainly because of the prospects for a coming COVID-19 vaccine and the news that there will in fact be an orderly transition from the Trump to Biden administrations. But even as inventor and entrepreneur Elon Musk overtook Bill Gates for the spot as second richest person in the world, tens of millions of Americans are struggling to make ends meet this holiday season.
